POSITION SUMMARY God has called TGM to build witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus at Snow College. Through these groups, we believe ever increasing numbers of students and faculty from all areas of the campus will be transformed by the gospel. TGM Student Ministry Directors pursue this calling by discerning and actively participating in what God is doing through TGM and at Snow College.
RESPONSIBILITIES & COMMITMENTS Spiritual Growth TGM Missionary Staff members pursue maturity as disciples of Jesus Christ so that their lives and work increasingly reflect a growing love for God, God’s Word, God’s people, and God’s purposes in the world. To do this, the TGM Student Ministry Directors will:
Pursue a vibrant relationship with the triune God through engagement with Scripture, prayer, and worship, both individually and in community
Develop self-leadership (growing in self-awareness, self-management, relational integrity, and resiliency)
Embrace Scriptural standards for behavior and attitudes
Campus Leadership
Communicate and model TGM’s vision to see students and the Snow College campus transformed
Create a culture of humble dependence on God and bold expectation of God’s promises
Model a biblically-defined commitment to engage Christians and non-Christians in gospel conversation
Lead students individually and collectively through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences, so that they articulate and align their lives with God’s Word
Set annual goals through prayer, research and reflection with the TGM team and Christian students, for qualitative and quantitative growth, including conversions and leadership development
Create, develop, align and leverage ministry plans, programs, teams, and structures to take the gospel onto the Snow College campus
Build a student leadership team who will demonstrate spiritual vitality, relational health, and TGM mission alignment – The Tri-Grace Mission: Tri-Grace Ministries exists to proclaim the gospel, defend the trustworthiness of the Bible, and serve those impacted by Mormonism.
Develop and execute plans to achieve annual goals, evaluating and modifying the plan as needed throughout the year
Mobilize students to engage their relational networks with the gospel and to start new missional communities
Intentionally gather, invite, and develop diverse groups of students so that they not only encounter and follow Jesus as Savior and Lord, but also advance the mission on campus
Create ways for students to encounter and follow Jesus through Scripture, worship, prayer, mission experiences, apologetics trainings, conferences, etc.
Equip students to think strategically about campus engagement, so that they proclaim – in word, deed, and power – the good news of Jesus
Motivate students to regularly invite other students to follow Jesus
Discipulate students by equipping them to hear the Word, interpret the Word, respond to the Word, and grow in Christlikeness
Invite, coach, and equip students to become increasingly Kingdom minded
Team Mentality
Partner with and respond positively to the direction and coaching of the TGM Executive Co-Directors and TGM Board of Trustees
Contribute to collaborative and productive team meetings and relationships
Utilize TGM’s evangelism training resources
Complete financial reporting and ministry planning in a timely way to serve fellow TGM team members
Comply with all TGM policies and procedures
Participate with TGM team members in:
Coffeeshop Ministry: serving as a barista on a minimum of 1 shift per week
Evangelism Ministry: participating with mission team members and in TGM outreaches
Intern Ministry: inviting interns into student discipleship relationships
Support Raising
Communicate regularly with ministry partners, nurturing those relationships through phone calls, texts, emails, thank you cards, and regular email newsletters
Continue developing an on-going, long-lasting partnership with their sending church
Host mission teams to serve the mission field with TGM

QUALIFICATIONS
Married couple between 28-35 years of age with previous experience in youth or college ministry
Preferably has or in process of acquiring a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies (or equivalent)
Holds the belief that the highest authority is Scripture and that Scripture interprets Scripture
Gifted in teaching and shepherding with the ability to prepare and lead weekly Bible studies
Willing to research and answer theological questions
Able to contextualize any study into the Ex-Mormon/Mormon culture
Skilled in articulating the gospel with people holding various religious or irreligious beliefs
Inclined to make the discipleship of students a priority
Willing to delegate responsibility and ownership to student leaders within the Student Ministry
Sets healthy personal boundaries
Demonstrates engaging communication and good listening skills
Exhibits active problem-solving skills and mediation of conflict
Self-motivated and takes initiative
Strives to be a supportive team player
Organized and detail-oriented with ability to plan student events and retreats
Trustworthy with student relationships
Annually affirm TGM’s General Policy Guide, abide by TGM’s standards, and promote TGM’s mission
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The TGM Student Ministry Directors lead ministry in a college campus environment. – Bible studies and discipleship are held at the Solid Rock Café and on the Snow College campus
The TGM Student Ministry Directors share a designated office space in the Solid Rock Cafe.
Off-campus travel includes, but is not limited to: outreach events, training sessions, retreats, meetings, and conferences.
The TGM Student Ministry Directors are regularly required to communicate with others, and routinely uses the TGM Slack app, Dropbox, TGM Google calendars, and LastPass account.
ACCOUNTABILITY Accountable directly to the TGM Executive Co-directors
EVALUATION
New TGM Missionary Staff are given an initial 90-day review by the TGM Executive Co-directors.
Every quarter, the TGM Executive Co-directors hold branch reviews with each TGM Missionary Staff member.
In the month of April, a formal evaluation is made for each TGM Missionary Staff member.
