Store Manager / Assistant Manager Teammates Supervised:

Frequent communication with all teammates, customers, corporate office, and vendors. V. JOB DUTIES: Act as the ambassador of exceptional customer service in the store. Foster goodwill by treating every teammate and customer with fairness and respect. Assist front end teammates and customers with refunds, over-rings, and transactions that require approvals. Manage change order requests and lottery transactions. Demonstrate knowledge of the various types of produce carried in the store. Ensure all teammates provide courteous service and address requests, refunds, and complaints timely and professionally. Process a variety of sales transactions accepted by the store, including EFT transactions, WIC checks, food stamps, and coupons. Comply with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment. Perform additional duties as required. Notify management of pricing issues and equipment maintenance needs at the front end. Handle spoiled or damaged products by following company policies. Report disputes between teammates and managers to store management. Maintain an efficient and productive front end operation. Understand and adhere to the company teammate handbook. Follow all company policies and guidelines. Collaborate with teammates to identify the root causes of issues and inefficiencies. Train and mentor front end teammates. Remain highly visible and accessible to customers. Achieve all Management Awareness goals and policies. Ensure compliance with check cashing policies and procedures. VI. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Training and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, with 1 year of experience in the supermarket industry or other retail environment. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Strong customer relations skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of retail operations is essential. You should be able to work independently and manage various tasks simultaneously. Licenses, Registration and Certification:
None required. VII. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in a well-lit and ventilated area, with occasional exposure to refrigerated storage, damp conditions, and outdoor weather. VIII. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium work—exerting 20-50 pounds of force regularly. Requires good audio, visual, and hearing acuity. Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, and handling objects.
