OSP Construction Manager (Salt Lake City, UT)
Overview Lead and oversee fiber OSP network construction projects through planning, coordination, field supervision, and contractor management across multiple western states.
Key Responsibilities
Manage OSP fiber buildouts, including subdivisions and HOA projects.
Supervise contractors, inspectors, and field crews; provide training and site oversight.
Track project progress using Smartsheets and coordinate with engineering and finance teams.
Review and redline construction drawings and confirm corrections.
Develop conduit layouts, cost estimates, and coordinate cable and splicing plans.
Release projects for construction based on readiness and trench schedules.
Requirements
5+ years telecommunications experience with 3+ years in OSP fiber construction management.
Strong knowledge of FTTX design, aerial and underground fiber construction, and utility/ROW standards.
Experience reviewing design plans using tools such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or Google Earth.
Familiarity with project tracking, ticketing systems, and standard office software.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred.
