You will collaborate with technical partners like data architects, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver compelling analytics solutions. You will assess and scope user requirements, determine feasibility, recommend options and alternatives, and ultimately deliver a front-end BI solution that provides an exceptional user experience. As the senior member of the business insights team, you will manage priorities with our business partners, mentor other team members, provide technical guidance as needed, and manage the execution of projects through daily scrum meetings.**Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):*** Scope and estimate business requirements and translate those requirements into technical solutions.* Manage backlog priorities and run daily scrum meetings.* Provide technical assistance and guidance to the extended business intelligence team.* Develop Power BI front end solutions with outstanding User Experience.* Use DAX, R, Python or other similar tools as necessary to solve analytics and business intelligence related problems in the course of developing solutions.* Develop SQL Views, Power Queries, and Power BI data models.**Job Specifications:*** Strong problem-solving skills, especially in data modeling and BI platforms* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with diligence and accuracy* Demonstrated ability to understand, discuss and document complex data models* Ability to foster teamwork* Ability to effectively prioritize, organize work and execute work in matrixed, complex environments* Strong written and oral communication including presentation skills* Ability to express highly technical topics in user-friendly way* Ability to investigate data and technical issues and communicate them effectively* Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
**Required Education and Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree in IT, business analytics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science or similar degrees* 5+ years IT experience* 2+ years project management or related experience* 2+ years experience in business intelligence dashboard, visualization, and reporting development, Power BI preferred* Proficient in SQL* DAX preferred* Python or R experience* Experience working with senior level business partners to translate needs and questions into actionable insights* Knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning systems, including areas such as finance, supply chain, sales, inventory etc., preferably within a manufacturing environment* Knowledge in Relational Databases, Data Warehousing and Modeling techniques* Knowledge in Agile software development and DevOps* Knowledge in Data Quality and Governance* Knowledge in data science and machine learning techniques**Supervisory/Responsibility:**This team member is an individual contributor.**Work Environment:**This is an office position at the corporate office.**Position Type:**This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.**Travel:**Occasional domestic and/or global travel may be required for this position.**Physical Demands:**The physical demands described here are representative of the those performed in the job duties.
