Onsite - Full Time - Global Financial Reporting, Accounting and Tax
The Global Tax Team is in search of an experienced Tax Compliance Specialist!
Coordinate the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns.
Gather, organize, and validate financial data and supporting schedules required by external preparers.
Review draft returns and supporting workpapers prepared by outside firms for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with company records and tax policies.
Ensure proper reflection of book-to-tax adjustments, deferred taxes, and tax credits.
Manage and track tax compliance calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Review estimated tax payments and extensions prepared by external firms for accuracy and timeliness.
Reconcile tax accounts and ensure appropriate documentation for all positions taken.
Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions (ASC 740), as needed.
Support tax audits and inquiries by preparing responses and coordinating with external advisors.
Monitor tax law changes and assess their potential impact on corporate filings and reporting.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity in the tax compliance process.
Supervising the development of the Group’s tax accounting methodologies.
Provision of a tax support to local financial controllers and outsourcing providers when setting up the tax compliance in new jurisdictions.
Identification of tax ineffectiveness based on the company’s financial statements and accounts in cooperation with financial controllers.
Calculation of the amounts of the potential tax risks for the purposes of tax provisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field.
Proven track record as a tax compliance specialist.
Professional certification – CPA or Master in Taxation strongly preferred.
8+ years of work experience in the field of tax consulting / tax compliance, or in tax department of an international company.
Understanding of the principles and trends of international taxation and tax planning (international tax conventions, EU directives, OECD initiatives, BEPS plan, etc.).
Experience in the field of international taxation (Kazakhstan, Latin America, Brazil, South East Asia (SEA), India, USA, etc.) is a significant advantage.
Prior experience with Netsuite, Workday or other ERP systems a plus.
Management and analytical skills.
Self-starter, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Great command of English (Advanced).
