The Sunshine Coast Golf & Country Club features 18 holes and is a semi-private course nestled on the picturesque Sunshine Coast. Owned by its members, the Club sits amid scenic forests just a short 40-minute ferry ride from Vancouver. Known as a hidden gem that offers year-round play, our vision is to welcome new Members and Guests to a unique and memorable playing experience and assist in the growth for the next generation of golfers.

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Professional to join our Professional Golf Team. The successful candidate will bring a high level of energy, solid knowledge of golf fundamentals, and an exceptional commitment to delivering best in class customer service to both Members and Guests.
Responsibilities
Provide golf instruction to all skill levels
Support the planning and execution of Member events, tournaments and leagues
Contribute to providing an exceptional Member and Guest experience
Assist with Golf Shop merchandise and equipment sales, along with the associated inventory management
Manage the Junior Golf Program, which last year had 180 members. This includes considerable teaching opportunities with our Junior Learn to Play clinics and Golf in School Program
Perform club fittings and basic club repair services
Qualifications
PGA of Canada Member in good standing
Previous experience at a Club with an established teaching program
Strong knowledge in club fitting and repairs
Previous experience in Customer service merchandise and equipment sales
Technical knowledge of point-of-sale software/equipment
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Positive and outgoing personality
Committed to working in a Team environment
Desire to learn and to grow capabilities
Compensation Hourly wage of $23 - $25 per hour

40‑hour work week
Full-time, year-round position
Hourly wage of $23 - $25 per hour
100% of all lessons, clinic, and camp income
