
A prestigious minerals and royalties firm based in Dallas is seeking a motivated Landman to join their growing team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within the oil and gas industry, specifically in minerals and royalties management.
As a Landman, you will be responsible for assisting in the acquisition and management of mineral rights, conducting title research, and supporting the land team in negotiating leases, royalties, and contracts. You will also help maintain accurate land records, monitor lease expirations, and conduct due diligence for potential acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with title research and curative work
Support the land team in negotiating and drafting leases and royalty agreements
Maintain and update land records and databases
Conduct land-related research for potential acquisitions
Provide administrative support to the land department as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, or a related field
0–2 years of commercial experience in land-focused roles
Experience with title, due diligence, and curative.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Familiarity with land management software and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
