The Role We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Account Manager to join our firm in our New York office. Given the size of our team, you will start contributing on day one to our corporate and individual clients as well as to our company’s growth and culture.
What You’ll Do Client Responsibilities
Account Management: Support in managing client accounts and have responsibility for day-to-day, as appropriate.
Infrastructure: Ensure overall maintenance of account infrastructure, including content calendars and trackers, meeting agendas, social posts, website updates etc.
Digital Strategy: Assist with developing strategic digital plans and develop strategic messaging; support creation of content, audits, and proposals.
Idea Generation: Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success; participate actively in account team strategy sessions and brainstorms.
Content Creation: Generate story ideas and topic angles to be amplified across owned channels.
Preparation: Prepare research and materials ahead of client meetings.
Internal Management
Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to junior employees and deliver constructive and clear feedback.
Agency Growth: Participate / lead one or more Hiltzik committees / initiatives for agency growth.
New Business: Participate in new business pitches including research, brainstorm, and presentation.
Leadership: Develop initiatives that help shape the direction of the company and serve in an active role of knowledge-sharing.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 4+ years in public relations, communications, or a related field, ideally within an agency environment.
Autonomy: Demonstrated experience supporting client accounts and managing day-to-day deliverables with minimal supervision.
Media Relations: Strong foundation in media relations, with experience drafting media materials and securing coverage.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Agility: Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and balancing client needs.
Teamwork: Team-oriented, with experience providing guidance or mentorship to junior team members.
Tech: Digital and social media savvy a plus.
