The Spirit of the Position: The Customer Service Rep at Long Beach Airport will provide exceptional customer service to all terminals while greeting and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. This position responds to all customer concerns while remaining professional.

Principal Job Duties:

Provide excellent and professional customer support at the terminal.

Direct customers to their correct gate and form uniform lines.

Maintain a friendly and can-do attitude.

Assist with luggage and arrange wheelchair assistance.

Assist in crosswalk, directing to taxi, shuttles, and Lyft areas.

Will be stationed at the Airport terminal for entire shift.

Work unsupervised.

Approach passengers and offer assistance.

Designate departure/arrival points for passengers.

Stand/walk for long period of time up to 8 hours.

Deal with all levels of situations, public complaints, and concerns.

Maintain all supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area.

Provide accurate, valid, and complete information for Daily Report after each shift.

Responsible for running any reports related to daily incidents, data or other reports requested by management.

Stay in communication with other departments such as security, wheelchair assistance, engineer, etc. with company phone.

Other related duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Skills:

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.

Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.

Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Friendly and can-do attitude.

Strong customer service experience is required.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.

Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.

Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
