Job Description
Mom’s Fine Gardening is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee and coordinate the care, maintenance, and presentation of our clients’ residential and commercial landscapes and outdoor living spaces. Reporting to the Director of Fine Gardening, this role ensures that every property reflects the high standards, craftsmanship, and personalized service our company is known for.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, client-focused, and knowledgeable in landscape maintenance and property care. Our Fine Gardening members are responsible for organic-based maintenance and weeding, seasonal container design, disease and pest management, pond and spa treatments, and holiday decorating.
Client & Property Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
Maintain client properties including, but not limited to, gardens, ponds, lawns, hardscapes, containers, lighting, etc.
Execute and oversee all scheduled Fine Gardening work orders
Identify and proactively address maintenance or enhancement needs
Ensure properties remain clean, safe, and visually exceptional year-round
Leadership
Effectively lead and train an efficient and productive crew
Oversee quality control of all work performed on properties
Communicate expectations clearly to your gardening team
Administrative & Reporting
Maintain accurate property records and service schedules
Prepare proposals for additional services or improvements
Track budgets and manage property-related expenses
Provide regular updates and reports to clients and leadership
Job Requirements
Degree in Horticulture or 1-3 years of experience
Be honest, respectful, and hardworking
Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills
Know materials, methods, and skills used in various landscapes common to the Midwest region
Ability to proficiently operate various machinery
Follow and enforce safety practices
Have a good driving record
Read, speak, and understand English
Must pass DOT drug screening
Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Ability to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height and remain in a standing or sitting position for extended periods of time
Ability to traverse over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces
Have a growth mindset and show continuous effort to improve the customer experience
