About the Position The Account Executive is responsible for driving new business growth by prospecting, engaging, and selling to net new clients, identifying opportunities, uncovering end-to-end talent management needs, and delivering solutions that support high-performance organizations. Using a consultative sales approach, the Account Executive builds and advances relationships with newly acquired clients to generate value and accelerate revenue growth for the University of Phoenix (UOPX). As a trusted advisor, the Account Executive designs, proposes, and closes innovative talent management solutions across a portfolio of accounts.
What You’ll Do
Prospect, engage, and build relationships with net new clients, serving as a trusted advisor to understand their full spectrum of talent management needs and position innovative, comprehensive University of Phoenix (UOPX) solutions that drive client value and expand UOPX's market position.
Lead high-impact discovery meetings with net new clients, using advanced questioning, interviewing, and consultative selling techniques to uncover business challenges, diagnose root causes and align client priorities with UOPX's differentiated solution development, delivery and implementation capabilities.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of UOPX products, programs and service offerings and trends in talent management and development.
Maintain timely, accurate and thorough documentation of all activities, tasks, contacts and account management activities in the client relationship management system.
Attend and participate in events as needed to represent UOPX capabilities and drive new revenue opportunities with net new clients; support UOPX campaigns and new product launches and represents UOPX established brand standards in a compliant manner in all written and verbal external communications.
Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Minimum Knowledge, Experience and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree
Seven (7) years of consultative sales and strategic account management experience
Preferred Knowledge, Experience and Abilities
Exceptional executive presence and demonstrated ability to take command of relationship management and influence C‑Suite level decision makers; politically astute to manage through an organization
Demonstrated ability to understand, design and sell customized, highly complex client solutions
Deep and broad understanding of adult learning and development, industry trends and the post‑secondary education industry
Highly developed probing, interview and research skills and ability to identify client needs
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate professionally, persuasively and confidently over phone, e‑mail and in face‑to‑face appointments
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across departments, functions, cultures and time zones
Exceptional customer service skills
Highly organized with strong planning and time management skills and demonstrated problem solving and decision making capabilities
Demonstrated experience with leveraging a Client Relationship Management tool to guide sales and solution management activities
Experience and discipline to work in a virtual setting

Pay Range The annual pay range for this position is $102,000 (minimum), $154,100 (midpoint), and $206,200 (maximum).*
*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
