
Salary Range | $85,000 - $110,000 Depending on Experience
We are seeking a Multimedia Sales Manager with sales management background and strong digital acumen to become our digital expert. They are key in strengthening digital advertising knowledge across our sales team, aligning our offerings with industry standards, best practices, and modern digital advertising trends. Most importantly, they must actively facilitate aggressive revenue growth across not only digital but multiple product categories. The Multimedia Sales Manager will manage, lead and motivate our multimedia sales team by working closely with them to collaborate, mentor and monitor sales to goals. CRM will be utilized to set goals, review revenue status, ensure sufficient new business prospects and proposals. This offers an overall view and opportunity for check-in with the reps on challenges or client objections to ensure smooth flow of business. Our powerful and diverse newspaper platforms include daily newspaper, magazines and other specialty print products, website and email advertising, sponsored content, multiple expanded digital products plus specialty commercial print products.
As the digital department lead, this person will raise and maintain the digital advertising knowledge base of the sales team to improve confidence and close rates. Consult on digital sales pitches as needed-helping shape proposals, packaging, measurement strategy, and expectations. Stay current on contemporary digital advertising trends and translate them into actionable sales guidance. Oversee Digital Coordinator and ensure campaign setup, trafficking, QA, pacing, optimization support, and delivery reporting. Ensure all digital ads run correctly and on schedule across our website, e-newsletters, and podcast inventory. This is an in-office position located in our downtown office, walking distance to the historical plaza in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
5+ years of experience in sales operations, advertising, digital services, newspaper, media, or related roles.
Management experience with excellent leadership and motivational skills
Experience supporting or working closely within a sales-driven environment
Strong digital acumen with demonstrated ability to manage campaigns and deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and accountability.
Comfort working with third-party vendors, billing workflows, and performance documentation.
CRM experience required
Helpful Digital Knowledge/Experience Recent or current experience with
Google Ad Manager (setup, trafficking, delivery troubleshooting)
Google Tag Manager (tag implementation concepts and QA)
GA4 (measurement basics, attribution awareness, reporting context)
Social platforms and ad suites (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) including profile setup and ads manager navigation
Basic HTML (enough to understand ad tags, formatting, and simple troubleshooting)
Canva or Photoshop (not for full design work-just enough to evaluate quality and ensure assets meet specs and best practices)
