
Overview
We are seeking a Designer 3 with specialized experience in Oil & Gas pipeline mapping. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in alignment sheet production, HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) design, and crossing permit development. You should be highly proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, preferably within an engineering consulting environment. We are looking for a professional who is detail-oriented, technically sound, and ready to contribute to complex projects within a collaborative team setting. Responsibilities
Lead in drafting and updating comprehensive base drawings, alignment sheets, Horizontal Directional Drills, and Permit drawings. Create detailed and complex AutoCAD drawings and have an understanding of GIS. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Review and check designs for compliance with standards. Coordinate with other design disciplines. Train and mentor junior designers. Communicate project progress to clients. Manage medium-sized projects. Handle complex designs including HDD, RR crossing, Highway crossings. Ensure all designs adhere to safety regulations. Interface with project engineers. Qualifications
Associate’s degree or Certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university. Management may consider other education and work experience to be acceptable for appointment to this position. 10+ years of experience using AutoCAD software for pipeline design projects. Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations for the gas distribution industry. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently. AutoCAD, Civil 3d, GIS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word. Preferred Qualifications: Prior Engineering Consulting Experience. MicroStation, ProjectWise, BlueSky. Benefits
