
Overview
The
Brokerage Coordinator
is responsible for supporting the Brokerage department and act as a liaison for Brokerage with vendors, and other NFI departments such as Accounting, IT, Carrier Relations, and Risk Management. This position reports to Brokerage Operations Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Effectively on-board new customers including account set-up in the system and working with NFI credit.
Maintain NFI Brokerage TMS current with customer information.
Streamline processes wherever possible (EDI, Web Services).
Ensure proper follow up and management of all loads in coordination with the Brokers.
Ensure NFI Brokerage’s back office processes are smooth, efficient, and effectively controlled by gathering needed documents, invoicing customers promptly and accurately, paying carriers promptly and accurately.
Coordination and collaboration with other NFI Departments to ensure customer needs are met.
Resolve process issues.
Produce department reports.
Complete any other tasks or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BA or BS Degree preferred
2-5 years Brokerage experience preferred
Lawson and Aljex experience preferred
Proficient in using MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to work in fast paced environment that involves learning and using multiple applications and handling a high volume of phone calls
Customer service philosophy and approach (willingness to do “Whatever it takes” to ensure our customers’ needs are met)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Market knowledge of truckload lanes and rates
Individual commitment towards sharpening existing or acquiring new skills as required by demands of the business or customers.
Compensation and Benefits We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $26.50 HOUR. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay.
