Our Commercial Lines department is currently seeking a territory manager to supervise and oversee the underwriting and operations activities of all associates within their team. This position is for our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio. The pay range for this position is
$165,000 - $200,000
annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance. Be ready to:
effectively manage a regional book of business considering book mix including line of business, industry, and catastrophe exposures meet or exceed specific net rate and premium growth goals while maintaining our segmentation strategy meet or exceed target retention and dollar inadequacy goals execute and meet established service standards manage the territory budget provide leadership, direction and management for risk selection and price adequacy support and collaborate on the development of underwriting guidelines and best practices evaluate regional and state trends including CAT management, changes to the legal environment and market changes cultivate agency and associate relationships identify trends in agency performance and direct necessary actions drive and support engagement with other departments such as Sales and Marketing, Loss Control, PARM and Product stakeholders to improve outcomes attract, develop and retain talent to ensure associates with the right skills and motivation are in the right place support staffing plans, stratification of underwriting talent and talent/career development Be equipped with:
a pro-active and engaged leadership mindset astutelisteningskillsandprofessionalpresentation skills the ability to build relationships within internal and external customers at all levels a willingness to promote innovation, collaboration and invite feedback to initiate improvement Bring education or experience from:
a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience a minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial underwriting preferred, including at least 3 years of underwriting management experience preferred designations such as CPCU, AIMS, CIC are preferred, continuing education through the designated learning track is expected Enhance your talents
