We are partnering with a
growing preclinical Contract Research Organization (CRO)
to identify a Sales & Marketing / Business Development Specialist to support continued growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and helping life sciences organizations advance drug discovery and development programs. Overview
This position will focus on
new business development and marketing efforts
across pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic clients. The individual will be responsible for generating leads, developing client relationships, and promoting preclinical
in vivo and in vitro
research services. The role works closely with internal scientific teams and leadership to align client needs with technical capabilities. Key Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and industry events Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers across pharma, biotech, and academic organizations Manage the sales process from initial outreach through proposal development and close Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a strong understanding of scientific offerings Support marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and generate inbound interest Assist with the development of marketing materials, digital content, and conference-related materials Track activity and pipeline in CRM and provide regular updates to leadership Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field Experience in sales, business development, or marketing within the
life sciences or preclinical research space Working knowledge of the
preclinical drug development process , including in vivo and in vitro studies Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently Ability to travel to conferences and client meetings as needed Why This Opportunity
