
Christina Simon Studio is a national residential design practice working on large-scale renovations and full-home furnishing projects. We are hiring a Senior Interior Designer to take a leading role in the design, documentation, and execution of sophisticated residential interiors.
This position is for a designer with substantial residential experience, someone who understands the realities of construction, coordination, and execution at a high level, and who wants to continue refining their craft within a studio producing thoughtful, elevated work.
The ideal candidate has seen the full lifecycle of luxury residential projects from early concept through construction, installation, and closeout, and can translate creative vision into clear, buildable outcomes. You will work closely with studio leadership to develop, document, and execute interiors that are intentional, sophisticated, and rigorously resolved from concept through completion. This role engages design decisions at an architectural level, not as surface application.
Responsibilities Design Development & Documentation
Produce and oversee detailed CAD drawings, plans, elevations, and specifications
Develop comprehensive FF&E packages, finish schedules, and material palettes
Coordination & Execution
Coordinate closely with architects, builders, fabricators, and consultants
Anticipate construction and execution challenges before they arise
Maintain design integrity and clarity throughout construction and installation
Project Stewardship
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining consistency and rigor
Support studio standards for documentation, detailing, and execution
Participate in internal reviews and coordination as needed

Requirements
4+ years of experience in high-end residential design or architecture-focused studios
Deep familiarity with the build process for luxury homes, including renovations and new build
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, detailing, and materials
Ability to manage complex projects with independence, confidence, and discretion
Clear, polished communication and presentation skills
Ability to travel to job sites and lift light to medium loads (up to 20 lbs) on occasion
