
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing data driven marketing campaigns for residential customers within the energy utility sector. The Analyst leverages advanced SQL (SQL Server, Oracle SQL Developer) and Databricks/Python to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from SAP, enterprise data warehouses, and marketing platforms.
Design, build, and execute data driven marketing campaign lists, segmentation logic, and audience extracts using SQL Server, Oracle SQL Developer, and Databricks/Python.
Develop, automate, and maintain recurring campaign processes, including end to end data workflows across multiple systems and marketing platforms.
Build, deploy, and support SSIS packages in Microsoft Visual Studio to extract, transform, load, and validate marketing and customer datasets.
Write, optimize, and maintain stored procedures, functions, and adhoc SQL queries to support campaign execution, analytics, and data transformation requirements.
Use SQL Agent to schedule, run, monitor, and troubleshoot automated jobs for campaign generation, data imports/exports, and other recurring data processes.
Utilize SharePoint to track, manage, and document campaign list requests, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and timely delivery for internal stakeholders.
Analyze SAP and enterprise data warehouse sources to validate campaign inputs, identify data gaps or anomalies, and troubleshoot issues across systems.
Gather, clarify, and translate business requirements into technical specifications for segmentation logic, campaign workflows, and reporting solutions.
Ensure data quality by validating inputs, performing root cause analysis on anomalies, and proposing technical resolutions to improve data reliability.
Participate in the development and continuous improvement of tools, processes, and automation frameworks to streamline campaign execution and reduce manual work.
Document technical processes, campaign workflows, data logic, and system dependencies to support operational continuity and cross team collaboration.
Collaborate with cross functional partners—including Sales and Marketing, Analytics, Go To Market, IT, Customer Operations, Data Engineering, Channel Partners and External Vendors — to resolve data issues and enhance campaign related capabilities.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or work experience. Experience: 3–5 years of experience developing advanced SQL code/logic in SQL Server and Oracle SQL Developer, including building complex joins, transformations, segmentation logic, and campaign audience extracts. 2–4 years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server tools, including TSQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Agent job scheduling, and Microsoft Visual Studio for ETL and data workflow development. Hands on experience writing and maintaining stored procedures, functions, and adhoc SQL queries to support campaign execution, automated workflows, and largescale data transformations. Experience developing automated processes for recurring marketing campaigns, including data imports/exports, list generation, and multisystem workflow orchestration. Working knowledge of Databricks and Python for data wrangling, validation, automation, and pipeline development. Experience using SharePoint to track campaign list requests, manage intake forms, and maintain documentation for workflow transparency. Experience building campaign performance dashboards and analytics using tools such as Power BI (1+ years preferred). 2+ years of experience accessing, mining, and analyzing large datasets from SAP, data warehouses, and customer information systems within a marketing, operations, or utility environment. Experience performing data validation and troubleshooting, identifying anomalies across SAP, warehouse tables, and campaign data pipelines. Familiarity with enrollment, or customer lifecycle data in the energy utility industry (1–4 years preferred).
