HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Sr. Export Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing guidance on divisional compliance policies (e.g. visitor processing, foreign travel, and restricted parties screening) in accordance with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR) and corporate compliance policies.
This is an in-office position that can be based in Rochester, NY, - Salt Lake City, UT, - San Diego, CA, Melbourne, FL - or Clifton, NJ.

EXPECTATIONS
Manage export license applications, submissions, exemptions, and recordkeeping
Conduct audits & support investigations and disclosures of potential export or import violations
Identify and escalation violations to global and regional trade teams
Implement and adhere to Corporate Trade policies
Develop and deliver trade compliance training consistent with corporate policies
Ensure controlled technical data exports/deemed exports are properly authorized
Work with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on trade related activities
Implement site visitor process for non-U.S. Persons
Oversee Restricted Party Screening processes
Stay current on changes in regulations and industry best practices
Manage multiple projects with minimal guidance and effective decision making
ESSENTIALS
6-10 years’ experience in export and import compliance, defense and aerospace industry a plus
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
In depth understanding of ITAR, EAR and import regulations
Working knowledge with OCR EASE
Experience supporting audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries
Strong data analytic skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborating with others
Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
