Position Overview The Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving the execution of IDDBA’s marketing initiatives by building cooperative relationships between departments, managing the marketing team, and actively managing all third-party marketing vendor relationships, including agencies and consultants. This position ensures marketing projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. Additionally, the Marketing Manager supervises the internal marketing staff and manages relationships with third-party vendors. The Marketing Manager utilizes strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of marketing practices to proactively solve problems and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of marketing projects—from planning and execution to evaluation and reporting.
Drive project milestones, schedules, and deliverables across campaigns, product launches, research studies, and digital engagement.
Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout each project.
Monitor project performance; analyze marketing data and campaign KPIs to measure success and recommend optimizations.
Develop, manage, and track project budgets in alignment with departmental and association priorities.
Apply knowledge of current and emerging marketing trends to inform project strategies and make new marketing and campaign recommendations
Write, proofread, and edit marketing content across platforms, ensuring brand consistency.[KS1]
Generate and distribute monthly project and campaign performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Track media placements, interviews, and public relations activity.
Manage marketing project tools (e.g., Asana), digital asset management tools, and additional platforms as needed.
Leverage CRM and AMS systems to segment audiences and tailor outreach strategies.
Serve as the marketing team’s central point of contact for internal departments
Assist in securing, scheduling, and communicating with podcast and video guests
Serve as backup support for organizational exhibiting
Design, manage, and improve internal marketing project requests
Supervise the Marketing Coordinator (to be hired summer 2026) and conduct weekly 1:1 meetings, provide ongoing coaching, and support in setting performance goals
Support the organization's annual strategic marketing planning efforts
Serve as the primary liaison and accountability manager for all outsourced marketing vendors (e.g., design, web, PR, etc.), ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery against contracts and scope of work.
Continuously assess and improve internal marketing workflows and team processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant nonprofit guidelines and reflect IDDBA’s mission and values.
Position Requirements / Qualifications Education & Experience
3+ years of experience in marketing and project coordination or management roles.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strategic thinker with a results-driven, data-informed mindset.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, agencies, and stakeholders.
Familiarity with CRM and AMS systems, SEO tools, analytics platforms, and other marketing tech stacks.
Experience in graphic design or managing design workflow resources.
