About the Role

Performant Capital is seeking entrepreneurial, post-MBA leaders to scale small software and services businesses into category leaders. This role offers full ownership of a business line, including P&L responsibility, and the opportunity to lead and grow a company with meaningful upside potential. The position may be remote; however, Chicago, IL is strongly preferred, as it is home to our headquarters. Candidates in other major markets will also be considered. Key Responsibilities

Full ownership of a standalone business or business line, including complete P&L responsibility Leadership and growth of an existing business generating $2M–$10M in revenue with significant expansion opportunities Direct collaboration and communication with the private equity investment team and portfolio company CEO Execution of strategic and operational initiatives to drive sustainable growth and performance improvement Qualifications

MBA preferred 2–10+ years of professional work experience Exceptional work ethic and personal accountability Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and solve problems hands‑on Comfort operating in the scrappy, fast‑paced environment of a small business Preferred Experience

Education or public sector software Managed Service Providers (MSP/MSSP)
