PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The position exists to prepare all mortgage loan documents for closing ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. This position is responsible for performing all tasks necessary to complete the post-closing process. Perform daily reconciliation of mortgage payments and complete monthly reporting processes for all investors. Responsible for timely payments from escrow accounts for the purpose of; property taxes, hazard insurance, flood insurance, mortgage insurance, and collateral protection insurance. Create and mail annual Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) loan to value disclosures, annual escrow statements, short analysis, and final analysis of mortgage escrow portfolio as outlined according to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) requirements. PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain communications with all settlement agents and facilitate loan closings. Prepare all loan documents for closing, disbursements, funding, post closing, including accurate data entry into loan servicing software systems. Prepare mortgage payoff statements as needed. Complete annual escrow analysis for mortgage loans. Perform duties related to all escrow disbursements within required time frames. Manage all duties related to PMI, including adding, deleting, notifying borrowers of any changes, and sending annual notices of current values, Loan-To-Value (LTV). Oversee CPI processes for uninsured mortgage loans. Answer calls concerning all questions and concerns for servicing of the mortgage loans, including escrow accounts. Actively and thoughtfully communicating with their supervisor, planning their goals and development, taking accountability for their actions, and striving for excellence. Prepare satisfactions and modifications as needed. Review/Process monthly Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reporting. GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Promote products and services. Attend all meetings as required. Maintain clean and professional work area and appearance. Maintain positive public relations and promote credit union within the community. Complete educational programs as required. Perform the following commitments of service to each and every member at all times: Make a good first impression, be dressed professionally and greet people with a smile and a firm handshake. Keep a smile in my voice as well as on my face. Answer the telephone by the third ring. Call people by name and thank them. Give people my full and undivided attention; focus on the person face to face and on the telephone. Take responsibility for solving the individual's problem instead of referring it to someone else. Deliver on commitments of action(s) to be taken, so excuses won't be necessary. Follow through on necessary action(s) to be sure the problem is solved. Know that what's important is not only who or what created the problem but how the problem can be corrected. Protect confidential information. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years experience in financial industry.
Minimum 1 year experience in mortgage lending.
Ability to receive and disperse funds in an accurate manner.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Professional, pleasant, and outgoing personality.
Ability to perform under pressure.
Thorough knowledge of Credit Consumer laws.
Knowledge of all laws and regulations regarding this position.
Excellent analytical skills.
Team player.
Knowledge of credit union operations.
Computer knowledge.
Decision making skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary work
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
