Splash Park Attendants

Supporting splash park operations and facility upkeep and safety. Reminding guests of splash park rules, when necessary, in a polite, firm manner. Processing and ensuring DHEC compliance with water analysis through log maintenance. Rendering first aid/CPR, if required. Performing a variety of general maintenance duties including facility and restroom cleaning, stocking of supplies, and upkeep of splash park features. Tournament Attendants

Provide supervision of the recreation complex facilities during tournaments to include ball fields, playground, splash park, and multi-purpose fields. Maintain ball fields to include chalking and painting field lines, raking, measuring, and moving bases and pitching rubbers. Clean and restock bathrooms as needed. Operate a chalk liner, line painter, rake, broom, and tape measure. Concessions Attendants

Serve food and beverages to customers in a fast-paced environment. Prepare hot food by following the instructions provided. Operate a grill/Blackstone/air fryer. Clean equipment, wash dishes, sweep, and mop. Assess inventory and assist in stocking and restocking items as necessary. Minimum Requirements

First Aid/CPR/AED Certified, or ability to obtain certifications. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have a valid SC driver's license. Able to occasionally lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Prefer applicants with three (3) to six (6) months of customer service experience and/or training that provided relevant skills, knowledge, and abilities. Reporting promptly at the assigned time of duty and remaining on duty until the designated shift has been completed. If unable to work due to an emergency or illness, employees must notify the PRT Program Manager in advance and obtain a staff substitute. Providing exceptional customer service to diverse groups and individuals within the public as well as with City staff. Speaking clearly. Must be able to multi-task and be self-motivated. Ability to process card payments and process cash transactions with accuracy. Attend mandatory training sessions and periodic meetings. Flexible Scheduling

Gully Washer Splash Park is open six (6) days a week. The park will remain staffed on holidays. The position will begin in the middle of May and will be operated until Labor Day. During the summer operation, working hours will be Tuesday-Saturday between 9:30a

5:30p and Sunday between 1:30p

5:30p. Coverage for private parties will also be needed. Tournaments are typically on Saturdays between the hours of 7:00a

9:00p. Concessions are open from March

December. During the traditional youth baseball/softball season, March

July, hours will be 5:00p

9:00p Monday

Friday, and some Saturdays. Top Gun or Adult Softball tournaments are on Saturdays, March

December, with hours being between 8:00a

8:00p. Hours & Pay Information

This is a part-time, hourly position with varying hours between 0 hours

28 hours each week, as needed. The pay rate is $12.00/hour for support attendants or $13.50/hour for lead attendants. Any support applicant must be 16 years or older and have a driver's license. To qualify for a lead attendant position, the applicant must be at least 18 years old and have experience in a previous leadership/supervisory role.
