Job Description Airbus Commercial is looking for an

Employee Relations Specialist

to join our HR team in

Mobile, Alabama

or

Kinston, North Carolina .

The Employee Relations (ER) Specialist champions Airbus values and culture across the U.S. Commercial region by partnering with leaders and employees to resolve conflict and promote teamwork, respect, trust, and engagement.

Your Challenges

Drive and operationalize Airbus values through the employment relationship with employees and leadership.

Act as a front‑line focal point for Airbus ER and the assigned portfolio.

Support the development and immersion of Employee Relations.

Develop ER strategy for each assigned business unit, creating and cultivating tools and processes that support ER.

Make data‑driven recommendations to improve ER processes.

Support the rapid resolution of employee concerns through established means.

Facilitate, on a tactical level, the feedback loop on ER issues to business and the Director of Employee Relations.

Maintain current knowledge and awareness of immediate HR issues: internal policies and practices, state and federal employment regulations, public social issues, and current interpersonal/team dynamics.

HRBP and Stakeholder Collaboration

Analyze and compare Business Unit Assessment data for the region.

Support the delivery of ER support to various business units, including training, tool and process deployment.

Support risk‑mitigation efforts as required.

Collaborate with HRBPs and leaders to develop, manage, and evolve employee recognition and engagement programs.

Investigations

Conduct people‑matter investigations following the Airbus method.

Escalate difficult or complex cases to the Director of Employee Relations when appropriate.

Present investigation findings and recommendations to disciplinary committees as required.

Provide feedback to reporters upon completion of the investigation.

HRBP Support

Support difficult conversations when requested by HRBPs or business leaders.

Collaborate with HRBPs and leaders to implement and communicate new policies and procedures.

Other Duties as Assigned

Perform additional duties as required by the organization.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field.

7+ years in HR, Management, Labor Relations, Compliance, or Legal with an emphasis on labor issues.

Experience conducting investigations and leading difficult conversations.

Experience working with both hourly and salaried employees.

Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor law, including EEO, FMLA, FLSA, etc.

Preferred Experience

Aerospace industry experience.

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience working for a complex, international organization.

Physical Requirements

Onsite 100%

Vision: Daily ability to see and read computer screens, electronic equipment, documents, reports, and engineering drawings.

Hearing: Daily ability to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone; capable of hearing sounds in production areas including safety warnings.

Speaking: Daily ability to convey information and participate in meetings and communications.

Equipment Operation: Daily ability to operate personal computers, telephones, fax machines, and other office equipment; ability to use electronic identification cards to access building and internal systems.

Carrying: Ability to carry documents, tools, and drawings up to 30 lbs (14 kg) several times per week.

Lifting: Ability to lift documents, tools, and drawings up to 30 lbs (14 kg) several times per week.

Push/Pull: Ability to push and pull small office furniture and equipment.

Sitting: Daily ability to sit for long periods during meetings, working on computers.

Squatting/Kneeling: Ability to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored low in shelving at least once per month.

Standing: Daily ability to stand for discussions in offices or on production floors.

Travel: Ability to travel independently and at short notice when required.

Walking: Daily ability to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.

Appropriate hearing/eye protection may be required when accessing the shop floor.

Prior labor union experience.
