Job Purpose
Our student housing community in Greenville, NC is hiring a Full-Time Leasing Consultant.
The Leasing Consultant supports leasing performance, resident satisfaction, and daily operational execution. This role blends sales, marketing, customer engagement, and administrative coordination that directly contributes to occupancy success and resident experience in a competitive market.
Leasing Consultants serve as brand ambassadors and play a measurable role in traffic conversion, renewal performance, and community reputation while gaining exposure to operational strategy, reporting insight, and market positioning beyond transactional leasing.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to residents, prospects, and visitors
Conduct community tours, overcome objections, and close leases to achieve occupancy goals
Maintain full compliance with Fair Housing and company policies
Execute outreach marketing and campus engagement initiatives
Respond promptly to calls, emails, and walk-in traffic
Maintain guest cards and follow up on all leasing traffic
Enter and maintain prospect and applicant data within property systems
Review applications and coordinate verification steps
Prepare lease documentation and maintain accurate resident files
Inspect apartment homes to confirm move-in readiness standards
Support renewal campaigns and complete renewal documentation
Maintain leasing office, model units, and amenity presentation
Monitor signage, marketing materials, and inventory needs
Coordinate work orders with maintenance and follow up with residents
Complete administrative reporting, audits, and operational tasks as assigned
Monitor competitor pricing, concessions, and positioning to strengthen leasing strategy
Support daily operational workflow and cross-functional team coordination
Turn and Move-In Support: Coordinate roommate matching assistance and move-in logistics while communicating resident concerns during peak periods
Turn and Move-In Support: Assist with documentation completion, access distribution, and resident profile verification within systems
Qualifications
Sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills
Professional and energetic customer-facing presence
Ability to communicate community value to students and families
Organized with strong attention to detail
Effective time management and prioritization skills
Ability to interpret lease documentation and procedures
Collaborative team mindset
Comfortable performing financial calculations, ratios, and prorations
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Adaptable in fast-paced, high-traffic environments
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak leasing seasons
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or High School diploma/GED with relevant experience
Microsoft Office proficiency required
Property management software experience preferred
