Position Summary – Fire Sprinkler Designer This is a full-time hybrid opportunity located in the Charlotte Metro region, offering partial remote flexibility during the transition into a new office space.
The Fire Sprinkler Designer will be responsible for engineering and drafting comprehensive sprinkler system layouts. Core responsibilities include performing hydraulic analyses, generating detailed bill of materials, and preparing construction-ready drawings utilizing CAD platforms. The role requires close coordination with internal project teams and clients to ensure designs meet jurisdictional requirements and align with applicable fire protection codes and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD platforms and fire sprinkler design applications
Solid understanding of hydraulic calculations, NFPA codes, and applicable safety regulations
Strong attention to detail with effective organizational capabilities
Clear communication skills for cross-functional and client interactions
2–3+ years of hands‑on experience in fire sprinkler system design or related discipline
NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology (preferred)
Demonstrated analytical thinking and ability to manage tasks independently within a hybrid work model
