Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily Overview

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high-level of service at all times. They are also responsible for building and motivating high performing teams to maximize the property performance. Essential Job Duties

Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment. Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. Assist in providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards. Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic. Support the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company. Assist with day-to-day operations of the on-site team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary. Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards. Maintain a positive living environment for residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up. Manage and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances. Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met. Competencies

Effective communication and customer service skills. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation. General office, bookkeeping and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication. Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting to improve performance. Supervise day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Be able to manage a team and work with leasing staff to meet leasing/marketing goals. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational training required Experience

3+ years of Property Management experience 1+ years of Management experience Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly required to travel between properties in varying weather conditions. Physical Demands

Employees may need to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend/descend staircases, ladders, or step stools, and travel between buildings in varying outdoor conditions. The role may require sitting or standing for up to 85% of the time. Travel up to 15% may be required. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently or constantly as needed. Other Duties

Cushman & Wakefield provides a benefits package including health, vision, dental insurance; flexible spending accounts; health savings accounts; retirement plans; life and disability insurance; paid and unpaid time away from work.
