Working with Account or Channel Management, owns development and execution of technology strategy for end‑user customers in the Manufacturing vertical. Designs solutions that meet customer needs and beat competition. Develops strong relationships with sales team, internal engineering, and key technical customer contacts and leverages to Zebra’s advantage; creates and delivers high impact solution presentations. Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred. Higher level technical skills than typical sales criteria. Develops and executes technology strategies with minimal input from manager for a higher level of financial responsibility; promotes solutions encompassing a wide range of products or services and technologies; As required, leverages relationships with other business units and/or external partners to deliver solution; Develops strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers; Leads technical presentations on Zebra products and services and the use these technologies in the customer business environment.
This remote role must reside in the US with a strong preference to hire within the states of Washington or Oregon. Willing to consider talent in California. 50% travel between those states expected.

Nature of Problems Solved – Solves complex problems which may require unique solutions (e.g unique applications of existing technologies) that are used across the business in similar situations
Role in Addressing Problems – Leads problem resolution, identifies appropriate resources, develops contingency plans
Complexity of Solutions – Typically medium to high complexity; has several complex projects, all which require unique coordination of technical resources; multi‑country issues may be involved
Level of Guidance – Demonstrates wide latitude for decisive action which could impact business initiatives/programs; exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices/policies in selecting approach and technique
Takes Direction From – Manager and Business Unit Directors
Customer Interface – Often leads semi‑formal teams or significant portions of a large permanent team; Multiple decision makers and influencers for large deals with complexity; Leads negotiations on complex deals which may be primarily technical, financial or both; Knowledge of industry strategies, customer positioning, financials and drivers
Accountability – Business and Financial Impact – Responsible for revenue attainment, margins where appropriate, and personal expenses; Relative Size and Scope – Average to high individual quota for business in like roles or strategic growth potential to be there within a year or two; Types of Projects – Moderately complex deals with a few large, complex deals; Strategic Impact for Zebra – High in near term; medium in mid‑term
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience in a Sales Engineer or a related technical role
Demonstrated experience communicating with B2B end‑user customers / working in a customer‑facing environment
Must reside in the US with a strong preference to hire within the states of Washington or Oregon. Willing to consider talent in California; 50% travel between those states expected.
Preferred qualifications
Engineering or related technical degree a plus
Must be both sales and technically savvy, but with strong customer facing skills pertaining to driving new and innovative solutions and facilitating problem resolution when required
Experience working with customers in the Manufacturing vertical highly sought after
Experience from same/similar industry as Zebra (experience working with same/similar portfolio of offerings) preferred
The ability to build relationships with key decision makers
Must possess the ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
Ability to collaborate in more of a team‑based approach vs independent sales process
Possess a demonstrated eagerness to learn with a technical aptitude
Ability to apply solution selling concepts to customer situations

USD 105,700.00 - USD 158,500.00 Yearly
