What will I be doing? The Group Sales Manager is responsible for proactively developing, negotiating, and closing group business while serving as a trusted partner to our customers. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker who understands the luxury group market and can deliver strong sales results and consistently strives to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and a level of service that reflects the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
Hilton’s Commercial Services organization is comprised of team members driving sales, revenue, marketing, catering, and event management, call center, and analytics functions. These functions are the core of Hilton’s “commercial engine” and are essential to Hilton’s ability to drive profitable growth.
The Group Sales Manager will support this “commercial engine”.
Position Summary As a Team Member, your essential functions in this role include such things as:
Identify, qualify, and secure new group opportunities through proactive sales calls, networking, and industry events.
Maintain up to date pipeline of business opportunities that will meet the short and long-term business objectives for the designated market.
Prepare and present tailored proposals, contracts, and presentations aligned with brand standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with Events, Operations, Revenue, and Marketing to ensure flawless delivery
Manage and grow existing accounts and relationships to maximize revenue and market share.
Collaborate with the sales and revenue teams to analyze business opportunities
Participate in travel industry trade shows, client entertainment, and promotional events.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information in the systems (Delphi, OnQ, or similar).
Prepare monthly reports, forecasts, and account reviews for leadership.
Ensure all sales activities align with brand standards and company goals.
Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determining the best solution for the clients.
Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the customer needs.
Other duties as necessary based on business needs
Salary Range:
The annual salary range for this role is $85,000-$95,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
What are we looking for? To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Minimum Education: College Degree
Minimum 2 Year Experience in luxury hotel sales operation
Prior experience with Luxury Group Sales Segment
Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of global travel trends and hospitality best practices
Travel may be required
Additional/Helpful Qualifications
Additional/advanced degree coursework in business administration, marketing and communications
Adaptable experience with business strategy, business planning, and business plan development.
Ability to speak multiple languages
Multiple Brand experience
Proficiency in Delphi FDC preferred
