Transformation Consultant - Full time - Detroit
The Transformation Consultant supports enterprise transformation initiatives under the direction of senior consultants and leaders. This role assists with project coordination, documentation, communication, and basic analysis to ensure initiatives remain on track and aligned with organizational priorities. The consultant will help develop project plans, monitor progress, and support stakeholder engagement activities.
This is a developmental role, designed to build foundational consulting and change management skills. Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are essential, as the consultant will gain exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies while supporting enterprise-first outcomes.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Alignment & Oversight:
Support alignment of assigned projects with enterprise operating plan goals and long-term priorities.
Assist in developing proposals, business cases, and ROI models to validate measurable outcomes.
Contribute to documenting dependencies, risks, and milestones to maintain visibility across initiatives.
Develop and maintain project plans, tracking deliverables, sequencing, and interdependencies.
Conduct fact-finding, data collection, and basic analysis to inform decision-making.
Translate information into clear project updates, executive‑ready materials, and performance tracking.
Prepare for and facilitate meetings, ensuring agendas, materials, and follow‑up are delivered with precision.
Communication & Change Management:
Partner with stakeholders to ensure transparent communication and cross‑functional coordination.
Draft and deliver communications that support change management and adoption of new processes.
Participate in engagement activities that promote collaboration and enterprise‑first outcomes.
Apply foundational Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile tools (e.g., process mapping, value stream analysis) under supervision to identify improvement opportunities.
Benchmark best practices and contribute insights to elevate team problem‑solving approaches.
Actively explore innovative ways to simplify processes, eliminate waste, and deliver value.
Professional Growth & Capability Building:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree is required.
A degree in nursing, healthcare administration, organizational development, human factors, a science degree, business administration, industrial or related engineering in a related field, or similar field is preferred (with quality/operations improvement emphasis).
No experience required. Equivalent industry training and experience preferred.
Ability to manage simultaneous assignments with potentially conflicting priorities and deadlines.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable while still meeting goals and due dates.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED
Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the Henry Ford Health Customer Service Policy.
Must practice the customer skills as provided through ongoing training and in‑services.
