Are you a seasoned turf and grounds expert who thrives on the excitement of golf course construction? We're seeking a hands‑on Construction Site Superintendent with heavy emphasis on maintenance to lead our golf course development/renovation project from groundbreaking through grow‑in and long‑term conditioning.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily on‑site construction activities, including shaping greens, tees, bunkers, fairways, drainage systems, and irrigation installation—ensuring adherence to design specs, timelines, and budgets.

Lead the transition from construction to maintenance phase: coordinate grow‑in operations, turf establishment, and sodding/seeding.

Manage irrigation systems from layout and installation through ongoing operation, repairs, and optimization (including computerized controls).

Supervise, train, and motivate construction and maintenance crews (full‑time, seasonal, and subcontractors) to achieve high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Coordinate equipment maintenance/repairs, inventory of materials, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Collaborate closely with project architects, engineers, owners, and golf professionals to deliver exceptional playing conditions and aesthetics.

Prepare reports, track budgets, and ensure sustainable, cost‑effective operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience in golf course maintenance and/or construction supervision (prior superintendent or assistant superintendent role strongly preferred).

Deep expertise in turf grass management, agronomy, soil science, fertilizer/pesticide applications, cultural practices, and integrated pest management.

Proven hands‑on skills in irrigation system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of golf course construction principles (e.g., drainage, bunker shaping, grow‑in protocols) combined with ongoing maintenance best practices.

Excellent leadership and team‑building abilities—able to recruit, train, schedule, and motivate crews in a fast‑paced outdoor environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, irrigation software, and basic budgeting tools.

Passion for golf and outdoor work.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
