Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned

Senior Product Designer

to lead the design and evolution of a high-impact macOS application for one of our clients. In this role, you will be the primary design owner, responsible for defining the detailed execution of a high-level vision and translating complex business requirements into elegant, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

The ideal candidate is a full-cycle designer who is equally comfortable in the discovery phase as they are in high-fidelity execution. Because this is a client-facing role, you must be highly

autonomous , capable of driving projects forward with minimal oversight, and able to maintain a high bar for quality and consistency that reflects our company’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

Client Vision Translation:

Distill high-level client goals into concrete, actionable design strategies and meticulous macOS-native interfaces.

End-to-End Design Lifecycle:

Lead the process from initial discovery and wireframing to high-fidelity UI and comprehensive design system management.

Independent Execution:

Self‑direct your daily workflow and prioritization. You will be expected to take ownership of projects from concept to launch.

Design System Stewardship:

Build and maintain robust, scalable design systems for the client, ensuring all component libraries are documented and utilize modern Figma/Sketch workflows.

Technical Communication:

Ensure that complex interactions are documented clearly for the client’s engineering teams.

Key Qualifications

7+ Years of Experience:

A deep background in product design with a focus on UI for applications featuring complex interactions and dense workflows.

SaaS Expertise:

Proven experience designing for SaaS platforms, particularly in translating technical requirements into simplified user experiences.

Tooling Proficiency:

Expert-level skills in

Sketch ,

Figma . While we use various tools, a strong mastery of

Sketch

for this specific engagement is highly preferred.

Systemic Thinking:

Demonstrated ability to design, build, and implement sophisticated design systems that enable long-term product scaling.

Technical Acumen:

Experience designing for complex problem spaces; you understand the technical constraints of desktop software and can design within them.

Professional Craft:

Exceptional skills in typography, layout, and motion design to create polished, premium‑feeling interfaces.

Meticulous Documentation:

Highly detail‑oriented regarding final design specifications and feature documentation to ensure seamless handoffs.

Bonus Qualifications

Native Interaction Prototyping:

Ability to prototype in

Xcode/SwiftUI

for native experiences, or

Principle/Flinto

for high‑fidelity interaction modeling.

Design System Passion: A dedicated interest in the architecture of UI components and design system governance.

What We Offer Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Media.Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

SALARY RANGE – Depending on location and Years of experience

$80,000 — $116,000 USD

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week.
