Utah PaperBox
Utah PaperBox is growing — and we’re looking for a self-driven hunter who thrives on building something from nothing.
If you need inbound leads to survive, this isn’t your role.
If you love opening doors, solving real manufacturing problems, and winning complex deals — keep reading.
The Mission Win new business in the upper SMB to lower Mid-Market manufacturing space by selling custom, non-commoditized packaging solutions.
You will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting to close — and be responsible for building a repeatable pipeline of net-new opportunities.
Responsibilities
Independently research, target, and prospect upper SMB to lower Mid-Market manufacturers and brands, with a primary focus on custom packaging solutions.
Generate new business through consistent outbound activity (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, referrals, and field activity), without reliance on inbound leads.
Own the full sales cycle from initial discovery through quoting, negotiation, close, and early-stage account management.
Conduct consultative discovery to understand customer requirements, timelines, volumes, constraints, and operational challenges.
Develop and manage a repeatable pipeline of net-new opportunities, maintaining accurate forecasting and deal visibility.
Collaborate with internal estimating, customer service, production, and operations teams to ensure solution feasibility, pricing accuracy, and delivery alignment.
Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing accounts, including additional SKUs, programs, or locations.
Participate selectively in trade shows, regional events, or industry functions to source new leads and strengthen market presence.
Update CRM with all sales related activity and progress.
Qualifications Required
5+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience selling custom, non-commoditized solutions. Experience in print or any type of packaging sales, preferred.
Proven track record of self-sourced new business, with documented success closing deals
Demonstrated ability to hunt: consistent outbound prospecting without heavy inbound lead flow.
Experience selling to upper SMB and lower Mid-Market buyers (owners, Directors, and VPs).
Full-cycle sales ownership experience, from prospecting through close.
Strong consultative discovery skills, particularly in environments involving custom specifications, timelines, and operational constraints.
High level of personal accountability, persistence, and resilience in the face of rejection.
Preferred
Ability to sell on value (cost efficiency, durability, speed, reliability), not price alone.
Comfort working cross-functionally with operations, estimating, and production teams.
Experience growing accounts after the initial sale.
