This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who lives and breathes the spirits industry, knows every back bar and bottle shop worth knowing, and has the hustle to turn relationships into revenue. You will operate as our Area Manager on the ground—driving reorders, building brand presence, and cracking open new accounts across on-premise and off-premise channels throughout the five boroughs and greater metro area.

Key Responsibilities Account Management & Reorder Development

Take ownership of existing accounts established by our broker network and become the primary point of contact for buyers, bar managers, and store owners.

Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships that translate into consistent reorder velocity.

Develop and execute reorder pathways that keep Leon y Sol on shelves and behind bars—no account goes cold on your watch.

Track account performance, identify gaps, and proactively solve problems before they cost us placement.

Off-Premise Tastings & Brand Exposure

Plan, schedule, and execute in-store tastings at liquor stores and retail locations across the New York market.

Bring energy and product knowledge to every tasting—convert casual shoppers into loyal buyers.

Coordinate with off-premise partners on scheduling, POS placement, and promotional support.

Report on tasting performance metrics including bottles moved, new customer engagement, and retailer feedback.

Brand Activations & Partner Collaborations

Collaborate with on-premise accounts that carry Leon y Sol to plan and execute activations, featured cocktail programs, and promotional events.

Represent the brand at events, pop-ups, and industry functions with authenticity and enthusiasm.

Identify co-marketing and cross-promotional opportunities with complementary brands and venues.

New Business Acquisition

Dedicate meaningful time each week to prospecting and pitching new bars, restaurants, and retail accounts.

Research, identify, and prioritize high-value targets that align with the Leon y Sol brand.

Conduct cold outreach, tastings, and presentations to decision-makers—get us on menus and behind bars.

Work closely with our broker and internal sales leadership to build a pipeline and close new business.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience in spirits, wine, or beverage alcohol sales, brand management, or distribution—ideally in the New York market.

Deep knowledge of the NYC on-premise and off-premise landscape. You know the neighborhoods, the buyers, and the culture.

A proven track record of building accounts, driving reorders, and growing market share from the street up.

Self-starter mentality. You don’t wait for a playbook—you write it.

Exceptional relationship-building skills. You’re the person buyers actually want to see walk through the door.

Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while hitting targets and reporting results.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.

Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the NYC metro area.

Valid driver’s license required.
