
Summary
As the Contract Specialist for the Corporate legal team, you will work alongside corporate attorneys and corporate paralegals and be part of a broader legal team. You will collaborate with the procurement team to provide contracting support to other corporate departments and operations teams.
Essential Job Functions
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal standards and organizational policies
Escalate contract issues and non-standard terms where necessary in accordance with Sevita’s established processes and policies
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including outside counsel when necessary
Manage lifecycle of contracts from initial request to full execution
Monitor contract compliance throughout the lifecycle
Assist with managing Sevita’s Contracts Management System
Provide advice related to contract matters to operations and corporate departments, including members of senior leadership and the Executive team
Identify contract process enhancements
Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned
Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
At least five (5) years of experience reviewing and negotiating contracts
Certificates, Licenses, And Registrations N/A
Other Skills And Abilities
Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with business clients in a collaborative environment to achieve business objectives.
Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Ability to work independently with general guidance and support from the broader legal team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong reading comprehension and the ability to produce clear, professional documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with all internal constituents from employees to senior management, as well as external organizations including outside counsel.
Strong analytical and advocacy skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to handle company confidential information and data requiring the highest degree of attention to preserve confidentiality.
