Job Description and Duties Under the direction of a Special Agent Supervisor, the Special Agent will conduct criminal investigations involving allegations of fraud against the California Medical Assistance Program (Medi‑Cal), patient abuse and neglect in Medicaid certified facilities, and diversion of pharmaceutical drugs by Medi‑Cal providers. The incumbent will conduct undercover operations, prepare investigative reports and search warrants, gather evidence including computer hardware and data, use and maintain investigative and protective equipment, use computer hardware and software for data analysis, coordinate investigations with other law enforcement agencies, work closely with prosecutors, testify in court, make arrests, and perform other duties as required. Duties shall be conducted with an emphasis on community interaction and collaborative problem‑solving per Penal Code Section 13651.
