POSITION SUMMARY The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing optimization of compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role partners closely with People, Finance, and senior leadership to ensure Total Rewards programs are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with business strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Compensation
Design and manage compensation programs including base pay, incentive plans, and bonus structures
Lead annual compensation cycles including merit increases, promotions, and market adjustments
Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, and internal equity analysis
Partner with leaders on compensation decisions and provide data‑driven recommendations
Maintain compensation structures, salary ranges, and governance guidelines
Benefits
Oversee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, wellness programs, and leave policies
Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and open enrollment processes
Evaluate benefit offerings regularly to ensure competitiveness, cost‑effectiveness, and employee value
Partner with Finance on benefits budgeting and forecasting
Total Rewards Strategy and Analytics
Develop a cohesive Total Rewards strategy aligned with organizational goals and culture
Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Create reporting and insights for leadership related to Total Rewards effectiveness
Support pay equity, transparency, and compliance initiatives
Leadership and Collaboration
Act as a trusted advisor to People leaders and executives on Total Rewards matters
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Finance, and Legal
Support M&A, growth, or restructuring initiatives from a Total Rewards perspective
Lead or mentor team members or external partners as applicable
Compliance and Governance
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits regulations
Maintain policies, documentation, and audit readiness
Stay current on market trends, legislation, and best practices in Total Rewards
Requirements Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
5 or more years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, compensation, or benefits
Strong knowledge of compensation frameworks, benefits administration, and labor regulations
Experience working closely with senior leaders and influencing decision making
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights
Experience with HRIS and compensation tools preferred
CCP, CBP, or other relevant certifications a plus
