Job Overview The Manlyn Development Group is seeking a motivated and integrity-driven Assistant Superintendent to support on-site operations across commercial construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The Assistant Superintendent will work directly under the Lead Superintendent, gaining hands‑on experience while contributing to daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, and overall jobsite performance.

Responsibilities

Assist with scheduling and coordinating all subcontractors in alignment with project schedules.

Support daily communication with building personnel, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Participate in and assist with conducting regular jobsite safety meetings with subcontractors.

Prepare meeting minutes for weekly owner and subcontractor meetings and submit them to the Project Manager.

Coordinate company labor forces through the Project Manager.

Receive, check in, and inventory all direct material orders delivered to the jobsite.

Assist in coordinating all trades to ensure project completion within the allotted schedule.

Report jobsite issues, safety concerns, injuries, subcontractor no‑shows, or delays to the Project Manager immediately.

Monitor subcontractor work for compliance with contract documents and proper construction practices.

Support quality control efforts and uphold workmanship standards across the jobsite.

Assist with jobsite security requirements based on project needs.

Prepare accurate daily reports and submit weekly documentation to the Project Manager.

Maintain daily sign‑in logs for all site personnel and visitors and assist with managing site access.

Qualifications

Experience in commercial construction or field operations preferred.

Associate’s Degree preferred (or equivalent construction experience).

Strong understanding of jobsite operations, safety practices, and subcontractor coordination.

Ability to follow direction, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively with field leadership.

Willingness to learn, grow, and take ownership of responsibilities.

Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Licenses & Certifications

OSHA 30‑Hour Certification (preferred)

NYC SST Worker Certification (preferred) – Training and certification support available if not currently held.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year
