This position operates remotely and reports to the Vice President, Medical Solutions. The role is accountable for enterprise‑level growth strategy execution, customer portfolio expansion, and long‑term value creation across KE’s global Medical EMS business.This position owns strategic business development outcomes across multiple medical customers and market segments, shaping multi‑year growth pipelines, influencing investment decisions, and positioning KE as a preferred global EMS partner. The Director acts as a senior commercial leader across regions, customers, and internal stakeholders. **Quick Summary**The Medical EMS Business Development Director is responsible for **driving sustainable, profitable growth at the portfolio and segment level**, not just individual accounts. The role focuses on identifying, shaping, and landing complex, multi‑site medical EMS opportunities while developing executive‑level customer relationships.Success in this role requires the ability to **set commercial direction**, influence senior leaders internally and externally, and lead cross‑functional global teams without direct authority. The Director must be comfortable operating in ambiguity, managing risk, and balancing short‑term wins with long‑term strategic positioning.**Basic Background Requirements**This position will require:* **Previous experience leading a global team of Business/Account Managers*** Proven ability to operate **independently in a remote, global leadership role**.* Location flexibility preferred within the **Midwest or East Coast**; other locations considered.* Extensive experience working with **medical OEM customers**, including deep understanding of medical quality systems, regulatory requirements, and risk management expectations.* Demonstrated success **leading business development and growth strategy** for complex, global EMS customer portfolios.* Ability to **identify, engage, and influence executive‑level decision makers** within customer organizations.* Proven capability to **lead and align cross‑functional global teams** (engineering, sourcing, operations, quality, finance) without direct reports.* Strong financial and commercial acumen, including **advanced cost modeling, pricing strategy, margin management, and contract negotiation**.* Strategic mindset with the ability to translate **market trends and customer insights into executable growth strategies**.* Technically astute with deep **EMS knowledge**, including associated manufacturing processes and global supply chain considerations.* Willingness to **travel extensively** within the U.S. and internationally.* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required;
