Prosperity Life Insurance Group, LLC is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director of Distribution Finance within their Allocations and Expense Management Department. This position reports directly to the department VP.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the development, monitoring and review of the distribution operations budget. Outlines and tracks actual performance to budget by cost center and develops ad-hoc analysis and reporting as deemed necessary to interpret financial results for the VP.
Report and summarize actuals and analysis by distribution channel for sales, fixed and variable expenses.
Monitoring sales incentive compensation plans for internal and external wholesalers to ensure quality and quantity of sales impacts on profitability.
Work closely with business management teams and actuarial modeling to ensure product pricing aligns with strategic initiatives and actuals.
Assist in financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, and various other financial projects.
Prepares monthly accruals and performs monthly analysis of departmental spend vs budgets, including the re-forecast. Works with cost center leaders to detail/support variances to budget.
Assist in the development, monitoring and review of the overall compensation planning including field compensation. Outlines and tracks actual performance to budget by cost center and compensation line expense and develops ad-hoc analysis and reporting as deemed necessary to interpret financial results for the VP.
Reports and summarizes actuals and variances to budget on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to support GAAP and STAT expense reporting requirements.
Ensures compliance with MAR/SOX for relevant processes and provides support for the internal and external audit processes.
Assist with FP&A initiatives outside of Allocation and Expense Management on an ad-hoc basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not carry any supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience and Skills
8-12 years of experience with distribution finance within expense management.
Experience in GAAP and Statutory insurance accounting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Very strong analytical skillset.
Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office Data tools such as power bi.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, in accordance with deadlines, and with a variety of stakeholders.
Effective communication and relationship building skills with both internal and external business partners.
Location The preferred location for this position will be New York, NY; Austin, TX; Miami, FL, but there is flexibility for the right candidate.
