Job Title: Technical WriterJob Description

We are seeking a Technical Writer specializing in Product Support to join our team. The role involves creating and editing owner manuals, user manuals, and technical documents for internal use related to industrial equipment and their components and technologies. The documentation will cover industrial products such as pump stations, water treatment systems, and industrial control panels. Candidates will utilize software including MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Pro, and pdf files to produce high-quality documentation.

Responsibilities

Create and edit owner manuals, installation manuals, and user manuals for industrial equipment and their components.

Interpret technical documents and make datasheets.

Develop supporting documents as needed.

Utilize Adobe Pro for document creation and editing.

Read and interpret schematics.

Use MS Word and MS Excel to produce documentation.

Essential Skills

Experience in technical writing for owner manuals, user manuals, and installation manuals for industrial equipment.

Proficiency in Adobe Pro.

Ability to read and interpret schematics.

Experience with MS Word and MS Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience writing manuals for plumbing, hydraulic systems, pumps, and/or control panels is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is based in an office environment with opportunities to work remotely. However, candidates will need to work onsite for the first two months for training and meetings. Once up to speed, a hybrid schedule is possible. The workweek is 40 hours, Monday through Friday, with hours from 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
