Job Description
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure clear understanding of project needs. Identify and evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals, budgets, and schedules. Monitor and update project costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints. Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and availability information. Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for potential project challenges. Provide support during contract negotiations and project execution phases. A successful Construction Estimator should have:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques. Proficiency in using estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
