
Collections Clerk
The Collections Clerk facilitates the collection of delinquent accounts, by contacting customers and requiring the payment of overdue fees. Requests and pursues payment on delinquent accounts via communication with account holder. Follows established guidelines to review and update account status. Maintains log of payment promises and pertinent account details, schedules follow-up communication with account holder. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers. Provides timely and accurate response to customer inquiries and to our overseas agents. Follows corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiries regarding shipments. Escalates unique or complex customer issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary. Generates potential solutions to customer issues. Provides feedback regarding current corporate practices and metrics to support process efficiencies. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar field (credit, accounts receivable, etc.). English: advanced. Strong attention to detail. Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively. Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Great team player. Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
