Job Description
As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for the following:
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for full gut renovations of luxury residential interiors Perform detailed quantity take-offs and scope analysis from architectural and design drawings Solicit and level bids from subcontractors and vendors Develop and maintain strong relationships with trusted NYC subcontractors and suppliers Analyze project plans, specifications, and material selections to ensure accurate pricing Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining design intent and quality standards Collaborate with project managers during preconstruction and handoff Assist in budget development, value engineering, and change order pricing Maintain historical cost data and continuously refine estimating processes MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
A successful Construction Estimator should have:
5+ years of estimating experience, preferably in high-end residential interiors Strong knowledge of Manhattan construction logistics, DOB requirements, and non-union trades Proven experience with luxury finishes and detailed millwork packages Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and negotiation skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred What's on Offer
