Pipefitters
to work in our shop in
Apopka, FL . The project is a 3‑4 month engagement focusing on stainless steel piping. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.
Position Summary This is a full‑time on‑site role for Pipe Fitters located in Apopka, FL. The Pipe Fitters will be responsible for fitting pipes to specifications, examining work product for defects, and ensuring conformance with specifications.
Essential Functions Fit stainless steel, steel, and various alloys piping for plumbing/mechanical applications.
Desired Qualification Requirements
Experience fitting stainless steel piping
Knowledge of plumbing and pipe‑fitting techniques
Ability to read and interpret spool drawings and technical detail data sheets
Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in pipe welding
Must be able to pass a brief verbal pipe fitters test during interview
Working knowledge of gas‑cutting techniques for piping (automatic & manually)
Excellent knowledge of fitting configurations adhering to ASME B31.1 Power Piping
Preferred knowledge of examination, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance of piping systems found in industrial, institutional, and general heating and cooling systems
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills
Communication: Effective English or bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication skills are a must
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to achieve quality objectives and project success
Safety: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others
Physical Requirements You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least
50 pounds
and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to
bend, stretch, crouch, and lift
as required by the job, respond quickly to sounds, see and react to dangerous situations, and wear personal protective gear properly.
