About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Associate II to join our dynamic team. Qualifications

Professional Architecture Degree from an accredited program

3-5 years of related architecture experience

Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture

Project Management experience, including coordination of schedules, deliverables, and communication across internal teams and consultants

Job Captain experience, including leading production efforts and coordinating documentation through all project phases

Preferred Skills (Highly Desired)

Proficiency in

Revit

and BIM-based documentation workflows

Experience coordinating with consultants (civil, structural, MEP, etc.)

Strong knowledge of building systems, constructability, and detailing

Familiarity with construction administration (RFIs, submittals, site visits, punch lists)

Ability to support permitting and AHJ coordination (responses, revisions, resubmittals)

Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and coordination-focused)

Experience assisting with specifications and drawing quality control

Working knowledge of applicable building codes and accessibility standards

Responsibilities

Under a Licensed Architect’s guidance, perform assignments requiring skills in conventional aspects of architectural design for small to moderate-size and complex projects.

Serve as a Job Captain on assigned projects by leading the production and coordination of project documentation from schematic design through construction administration.

Coordinate and manage drawing sets to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with CRSA standards, project requirements, and applicable codes.

Support the Project Manager and Project Architect with project planning and execution, including scheduling, milestone tracking, and deliverable coordination.

Participate in specific technical design aspects and provide consultation in planning, design, and coordination of moderately complex projects.

Carry out complex or novel assignments, developing new or improved techniques and procedures.

Perform analysis of design, planning, and occupancy studies, as well as design layouts.

Prepare project specifications, compile and analyze relevant data, and write reports and specifications.

Coordinate consultant information and integrate into the architectural set accurately and efficiently.

Assist with responding to AHJ comments, RFIs, and submittals, helping maintain project momentum and communication flow.

Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Staff Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced architects and architectural associates, particularly in documentation standards and production workflows.

Collaborate effectively with the Project Manager, Project Architect, other architects, architectural associates, and consultants to maintain alignment on scope, schedule, and quality.

Communicate proactively about risks, schedule impacts, and coordination issues, helping the team resolve items before they become project delays.

Take ownership of personal development, actively seeking opportunities to improve skills and advance your career path in architecture.

Accountable to the Project Manager, Project Architect, and the project team.

Maintaining the highest professional standards, practices, and business ethics.

Avoid engaging in work outside your qualifications and expertise.

The scope of projects will be moderate in size and complexity, requiring a balance of technical and creative solutions.

Expected to demonstrate strong organization, documentation leadership, and communication skills to support successful project delivery.
