X-Ray Tech Location: Lakeway, TX Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Description Position: Interventional Radiology Technologist Location: Lakeway, Texas, USA Term: Permanent / Full-Time Work Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts, no weekend call Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality IR procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients. Under the general supervision of a radiologist, the technologist will prepare patients and equipment, maintain imaging quality, follow safety protocols, and ensure accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities: Perform IR procedures according to protocol and established standards. Communicate with patients and families using AIDET techniques to establish rapport and explain procedures. Prepare patients and procedure areas, position patients, and adjust immobilization devices and equipment controls. Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control, drug, and radiation safety protocols. Maintain imaging equipment, cleanliness, and supplies inventory. Screen patients and staff according to approved policies. Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation including requisitions, patient history, consent forms, and shielding precautions. Maintain medical imaging records in compliance with departmental standards. Provide training and serve as a preceptor for new team members. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. ARRT-R Radiography certification required. Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT). BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Must obtain, within 2 years of hire, one of the following: ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (ARRT-CI) ARRT Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI) ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT-CV) Experience as an IR Tech, preferably in a busy lab; Neuro and Trauma experience preferred.
