Join Our Team as a Lead Clerk for Beer, Wine, and Spirits!
Your role will be instrumental in creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You'll help us maintain a safe and clean environment, encouraging our customers to return while achieving sales and profit goals for the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote trust and respect among associates.
Communicate essential company and department information effectively to team members.
Establish performance goals and empower associates to excel.
Develop optimal scheduling to manage customer volume effectively.
Train associates on their roles and engage in their performance evaluations.
Adhere to all applicable laws and company guidelines.
Create a welcoming environment, addressing customer inquiries about products.
Offer product samples and inform customers about Beer/Wine/Spirit specials.
Maintain a positive attitude and foster a customer-first approach.
Develop and implement a business plan for the department to achieve desired results.
Collaborate with management on promotional activities and in-store marketing.
Stay informed about inventory conditions and report any discrepancies.
Ensure accurate pricing by updating shelf tags and promotional signage.
Maintain proper temperatures in all storage and display units.
Reinforce safety protocols and report unsafe conditions to management.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Effective communication skills.
Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Management experience is a plus.
Experience with Beer/Wine/Liquor is highly desirable.
Knowledge of industry terminology, processes, and trends.
Retail experience is also beneficial.
Familiarity with flavor profiles of imported and domestic varieties.
A second language is a bonus!
