
Sales Estimator - Structural Steel
A well-respected and growing structural steel fabricator and erector in Indiana is seeking a motivated
Sales Estimator
who is eager to travel to client sites and jobsites in the Mid-Atlantic Region to contribute to our ongoing growth. This position is perfect for a competitive individual who blends estimating skills with a strong capability to close deals. As a Sales Estimator, you will engage in reviewing bid documents, executing takeoffs, creating competitive proposals, and actively pursuing awarded work. You will work closely with project management, detailing, and fabrication teams to ensure pricing accuracy and facilitate seamless project transitions. Key Responsibilities Travel approximately 50% to clients and jobsites in the Mid-Atlantic region Review plans, specifications, and bid packages Perform accurate takeoffs Prepare bids, proposals, budgets, and pricing for change orders Follow up on bids actively and secure new work Build and maintain relationships with contractors and clients Coordinate efforts with project management, detailing, and fabrication teams Maintain estimating files and pricing history meticulously Support project teams during the job handoff process Qualifications Estimating or Project Management experience in
Structural Steel or Misc. Metals Experience on projects ranging from
$5 million to $60 million Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with a structural steel fabricator or erector Demonstrated ability to aggressively close deals Familiarity with AISC standards and production rates Compensation & Benefits $125,000 - $135,000 base salary + commission Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance PTO & Paid Holidays Long-term growth opportunities If you are a sales-driven estimator eager to make a direct impact on company growth, we encourage you to apply.
