X-Ray Tech Location: Ottumwa Junction, IA Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Title: Diagnostic Xray/CT Technologist Level: Junior Reports To: Director of Radiology Vacancies: 2 Travel Required: No Visa Support: No Location: Ottumwa, IA, USA Work Arrangement: Must report in-person to a specific location Must-Haves: Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology ARRT registered or registry eligible with a current Iowa Permit to Practice BCLS required upon hire Job Description: The staff technologist is responsible for performing radiographic exams, including portables, surgery, and trauma. They also perform clerical duties related to patient care during weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays, and assist with Quality Improvement projects. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Supervisor: Director of Imaging Supervises: None Duties Include (but are not limited to): Perform high-quality radiographic procedures Operate all radiographic equipment safely and competently Follow radiation protection standards for patients, self, and others Perform CT procedures and general radiography Assist with front office/clerical duties when necessary Participate in identifying quality and safety concerns Assist with daily operations of Imaging Services Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Use Radiology Information System (MEDITECH) and PACS Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly manner Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Work independently, complete tasks, and adjust to high-volume workloads Perform basic computer functions Interact positively with patients, physicians, and staff Demonstrate ethical and professional conduct Education: Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology Experience: ARRT registered or registry eligible with experience in general radiography CT experience preferred Ability to work independently and handle high-volume workloads Good written and verbal communication skills Certificate/License: ARRT registered or registry eligible with current Iowa Permit to Practice BCLS required Interview Steps: Phone Interview Onsite Interview Company Culture & Perks: Champion patient care Do the right thing Embrace individuality Act with kindness Make a difference together Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and paid time off
